As Procure Impact scaled, their existing platform couldn't keep up. They needed a modern e-commerce foundation that could support a growing multi-vendor marketplace, give suppliers meaningful self-service tools, and deliver an intuitive experience for buyers and sellers alike.
With no internal technical leadership, Procure Impact needed more than a vendor - they needed a partner who could help them navigate architectural decisions, define a realistic roadmap, and build something designed to evolve. During the RFP process, that need was front and center. ForteNext's structured discovery process and transparent approach to scoping gave the Procure Impact team the clarity and confidence to move forward.
Their core objectives were to migrate onto Salesforce Commerce Cloud, enable supplier self-service for catalog and order management, integrate with Shopify, improve usability for both buyers and suppliers, and establish a flexible foundation for long-term growth.
ForteNext planned, designed, and built Procure Impact's next-generation marketplace on Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Order Management, with custom functionality tailored to the realities of a mission-driven, multi-vendor environment.
The platform gives suppliers their own dedicated portal for publishing product listings, updating catalog information, and tracking orders - removing the operational bottleneck of managing all of that centrally. Custom brand pages let each supplier tell their story alongside their products, giving buyers the context that makes mission-driven purchasing meaningful.
On the integration side, ForteNext designed and built a Shopify integration layer that allows vendors to sync product and order data without friction. Additional integrations with Avalara, Bill.com, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud round out the operational and communications infrastructure.
A standout feature is the impact calculator - a purchase-driven tool that quantifies the social impact generated by each order, helping buyers see the tangible difference their purchasing decisions make.
Key capabilities ForteNext delivered include:
Custom B2B Marketplace - A full Salesforce Commerce and Order Management build with tailored pages for product details, catalog listings, homepage, supplier profiles, and user management.
Impact Hours and Loyalty Features - A purchase-driven impact calculator that surfaces the social value created through each transaction.
Supplier Brand Pages and Self-Service Tools - Dedicated pages for suppliers to present their mission and products, with self-service functionality for catalog management and order oversight.
Shopify Integration - A seamless sync enabling vendors to manage products and orders directly from their existing Shopify environment.
Supporting Integrations - Avalara for tax, Bill.com for payments, and Marketing Cloud for communications.
The new marketplace launched seven months after kick-off and immediately demonstrated its impact. Month-over-month sales increased 150% following launch, with Procure Impact directly attributing significant business growth to the new platform.
Operations became unified and streamlined, and both suppliers and buyers responded positively - the platform has received strong feedback for its ease of use and intuitive design.
The relationship didn't stop at delivery. ForteNext engineers continue to work alongside the Procure Impact team day-to-day, leading key parts of the company's technical direction and supporting the mission well beyond the initial build.
"The new marketplace is intuitive, easy to use, and has received exceptional feedback from suppliers and buyers. Significant business growth can be directly correlated to the launch of the new platform. We wouldn't be where we are without them." - Lauren McCann, Co-Founder and CEO, Procure Impact
